
LOG Pharma Primary Packaging has acquired the medical cannabis packaging activities of CPS, which specializes in providing protective packaging solutions to the pharmaceutical and medical cannabis industries.
This strategic acquisition aligns with LOG’s vision to expand its operations and penetrate new markets where regulatory requirements mirror those of the pharmaceutical industry.
“The impressive advancements in medical cannabis research, coupled with the growing interest from pharmaceutical companies in the rapidly evolving field of medical cannabis, have driven us to acquire CPS, which is a proven a market leader in the Israeli market,” said Shaul Bassi, CEO of LOG.
“We anticipate a significant increase in demand for all types of packaging classified as ‘pharma’ in the near future and we are well positioned to address this growth.”
Bassi further highlighted LOG’s expertise in developing and designing innovative barrier packaging solutions that extend shelf life and protect from exposure to moisture, light, and oxygen. These capabilities are crucial for meeting storage requirements of medical cannabis.
Founded in 2020 by Noam Nahari, CPS specializes in high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic packaging solutions for medical cannabis.
The company also offers moisture stabilizers and oxygen absorbers, ensuring optimal product preservation. CPS has established a strong presence in the Israeli market, serving prominent clients such as Cantek, Cronos Group, David and Goliath Pharma, Tikkun Olam, Colibri Pharma, among others.
Following the acquisition, Noam Nahari will join LOG’s management team as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. His expertise and leadership are expected to drive further growth and innovation within LOG.
