At PACK EXPO, Perlen Packaging Group to Showcase Expansion into Pharma Bottles Market

Lucerne, Switzerland, August 12, 2026 – Following acquisition of LOG Pharma, blister film manufacturer now also offers broad portfolio of bottles for OSD and liquid applications. See it all in Booth W-24084!

Perlen Packaging Group, a global provider of primary packaging solutions for prescription pharmaceuticals and over-the-counter medications, will highlight its recent expansion into the bottles segment at PACK EXPO International in Booth W-24084, October 18-21 in Chicago. In the wake of its 2025 acquisition of LOG Pharma, the company will showcase a comprehensive array of pharma packaging solutions, from bottles and closures to barrier films.

eyond expanding the Group’s product portfolio, the acquisition also strengthens Perlen Packaging Group’s barrier expertise across both blister films and bottles. Combining decades of experience in high-barrier blister packaging with LOG Pharma’s established expertise in bottles and closures, the Group now offers complementary packaging solutions designed to protect moisture- and oxygen-sensitive pharmaceutical products across multiple formats.

At PACK EXPO, Perlen will also place particular emphasis on how its expansion into bottling meaningfully expands its set of sustainability-minded packaging solutions. For example, the Barrier Eco Bottle Line delivers exemplary product protection with reduced materials use. The series achieves up to 30% weight reduction while enhancing barrier performance. With up to 90% of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) experiencing some degree of sensitivity to moisture, oxygen or both, the Barrier Eco Bottles help ensure full lifecycle product protection in a more sustainable container.

The Barrier Eco Bottles complement Perlen’s established set of eco-conscious blister solutions. For instance, the company offers a line of blister films comprised of recyclable polypropylene (PP) films, while its ISCC Plus-certified Perlalux® Mono DeCarb series utilizes a mono-material film comprised of circular and bio-circular raw materials; Produced using renewable energy, PERLALUX® Mono DeCarb enables a significantly reduced carbon footprint without requiring additional stability testing or revalidation processes.

Perlen Packaging Group is also a leader in the ongoing effort to eliminate so-called “forever chemicals” from packaging streams. Here, the company’s PFAS-free Ultra-High-Barrier Blister Films is an alternative to conventional polychlorotrifluoroethylene (PCTFE) substrates.

“By combining Perlen’s extensive legacy in blister films with LOG Pharma’s bottling expertise, we’ve become a truly comprehensive provider of primary packaging for the global pharmaceutical industry,” said Paul D’Adamo, North America Sales Director for Perlen Packaging Group. “Our respective packaging solutions have always been defined by protection – and together, we’re moving forward with a joint dedication to protecting patients, the environment, and the reputations of our worldwide pharma customers.”
