LOG to unveil revolutionary barrier eco line at Pharmapack Europe 2025

LOG Pharma Primary Packaging will participate at Pharmapack Europe 2025, which will be held in Paris on January 22–23, 2025. At the event we will launch our new barrier eco line, an advanced packaging solution designed to meet the growing demand for sustainable, cost-effective options in the pharmaceutical industry.

The development leverages LOG’s expertise in cutting edge technology to reduce bottle weight by up to 30%, all without compromising essential barrier properties, such as Water Vapor Transmission Rate (WVTR). At the core of this innovation are Health+ resins from Dow, a leading global material science company. These specialized resins enable LOG to maintain superior gas barrier performance while reducing the environmental footprint of its products.

“The barrier eco line demonstrates our dedication to sustainability without sacrificing quality,” says Shaul Bassi, CEO of LOG Pharma Primary Packaging. “We have managed to introduce an eco-friendly solution that doesn’t compromise on protection or cost-effectiveness, which is very attractive to pharmaceutical companies.”

LOG’s barrier eco line represents a significant step forward in the quest for sustainable pharmaceutical packaging solutions. By addressing the challenges of reducing material usage while maintaining barrier efficacy, LOG is setting a new standard for eco-friendly innovation in the industry.

The eco line will be prominently displayed at Stand A97 in Hall 7.2, alongside LOG’s extensive range of barrier packaging solutions tailored for moisture-sensitive, oral, and oxygen-sensitive formulations.

During the event, Ora Gilboa, VP R&D at LOG, will deliver a presentation titled “Barrier Bottles & Sustainability: Can We Have Them Both?” Attendees will gain valuable insights into the challenges and innovations behind the development of sustainable barrier packaging.
