The management teams of LOG Pharma Primary Packaging and Perlen Packaging met in Hungary for a three-day session focused on strengthening collaboration.
The discussions, which included talks on the major milestones planned for 2025, were both productive and successful, leading to the decision to establish dedicated working teams to drive integration across key areas.
This meeting marks a significant step in integrating the activities of both companies following Perlen’s acquisition of LOG in February 2025. The acquisition, a strategic move by the Swiss-based CPH Group, aims to expand Perlen’s global presence and product offerings.
On the final day, Perlen’s management visited the LOG manufacturing facility in Hungary, which currently employs approximately 100 workers.
While some Perlen executives had previously visited the facility, for others, this was their first opportunity to gain firsthand insight into LOG’s operations in Europe. The visiting delegation included Marc Haller, Perlen’s CEO, along with other senior officials as well as LOG’s management team, headed by the company’s CEO, Shaul Bassi.
The Perlen team was welcomed by LOG Pharma’s local management in Hungary, including General Plant Manager Erez Gerber, Sales Manager Maria Kaposi, Finance Manager Krisztina Varga, Production Manager Janos Szilagyi, Maintenance Manager Adam Balog, QA Manager Csenge Mikecz, and Storage Manager Mihaly Gyaramati. Together, they explored Log’s advanced production capabilities and discussed operational strategies for further collaboration.
A key part of the visit was an in-depth tour of the manufacturing facility, where Perlen executives were introduced to the Injection Blow Molding (IBM) and Extrusion Blow Molding (EBM) departments, as well as the state-of-the-art desiccant filling line.
One of the highlights of the tour was a live demonstration of the newly installed 94 EBM machine, produced by Italian manufacturer PLASTIBLOW. This cutting-edge machine contributes to efficiency and sustainability, specifically acquired to support a new production project for one of Log’s biggest customers, a global leader in medical technology.
The new electric EBM machine significantly enhances production capabilities. It can manufacture approximately 1.2 million one-liter bottles annually – nearly doubling the output of similar machines that currently produce only 700,000 bottles per year. Additionally, the machine requires only a single operator, compared to three operators needed for previous models.
This advancement not only optimizes production efficiency but also aligns with LOG Pharma’s commitment to environmental sustainability. The machine’s innovative design ensures that all waste generated during the production process is fully recyclable, contributing to reducing material waste and a more sustainable manufacturing process.
The visit underscored Perlen’s dedication to fostering collaboration between the two companies. As LOG becomes further integrated into the Perlen Packaging network, both companies are poised for continued growth, innovation, and sustainability in the pharmaceutical packaging industry.
